I Miss These People, Places & Things

I'm back home in Utah after spending seven weeks in Norway. The mountains are green and beautiful here and I have enjoyed spending time with Spencer and Chaddy BUT I really, really miss these people, places and things......

Ern Baxter - Thy Kingdom Come

We are in Norway for two months and have already experienced wonderful times in the Presence of God ministering in the National Women's Conference, the State Church, the Mission Church, and the Nordic Mission Bible School but I long for so much more.....for myself and for Norway! I am longing for a deeper anointing that will release the fullness of God's beauty and character to those around me.  I am longing to be a spark that will ignite the fires of God's heart for the earth. Weighty and weird words, I know, but there is a stirring in me that isn't content for what I have known before or what I am experiencing now. I am SO HUNGRY for GOD! And we are so blessed and privileged to live in these days because He is preparing His people for something glorious.

When you have a few minutes, give this a listen. It's a message from one of the coolest guys to walk the earth, Ern Baxter. He's from back in the day but he was a Father to so many and his message is powerful. It takes a few minutes for him to get into it, so hang in there.

You will need to advance through the series until you hit Message #9. It's not very long but is broken up into chunks. It's worth your time.

Jeg elsker deg!

P.S. For those of you who like to see what Norway looks like, here is the view from our front window. We're spoiled, I know.

Flekkerøy, Our Island Home

It's interesting when God gives you such a love for a people and place that it feels like 'home'. That doesn't mean that I don't think about my family, friends, and church in Utah every day. I miss my peeps terribly but I also have a sense of purpose in our time in Norway that is very fulfilling, and this helps assuage the longing for the above mentioned treasures.

I find there are delights around every corner in Norway and I learn so much about God here.  He is teaching me day by day how to live more fully in faith; how to trust Him in my own weakness; how to make His desire the focus and purposes in all that I do.  I love to pray and walk on the ground of this land, stretching up and pulling into this reality the good things I know He has planned for Norway.  I feel the ground rumbling with the boiling, bubbling waters of Revival and know there is a tsunami of glory coming.

This is also a place of incredible beauty which inspires me and I find myself taking photos of everything I see!  Aren't the clouds glorious as the sunset paints its orange color around the edges? Serene water and the hint of color. Really nice.

Completely bathed in orange light!

And finally, the softness of the light after the sun had gone down. So quiet and subtle. There is a blue-grey  haze in the air that is stunning. Look at the lighthouse in the distance just beginning to cast its first beams into the evening, and the smooth shadows cast by the houses at the edge of the water.

God natt, Norway, søte drømmer....

Kristiansand & Flekkerøy

We finally arrived in Norway after thirty-two hours of travel. The sun is shining and we've had a break today and it's lovely. We are staying with a YWAM family who is also involved in worship in the area. They have a lovely house that was built in the 1700s and Ann Elisabeth has made it both beautiful and cozy. It has been nice staying with them as we share the same heart for worship and the nations.

Here are some snapshots of life right now:

Worship Last Night in the State Church on Flekkerøy

We are in the Kristiansand area until Thursday evening when we travel to Bergen for a Reform Norge conference. We will stay a few days after the conference to learn about Bergen and see the sites.

It is SO good to be back in the Motherland!
Tusen Takk, Far!
