Count Down......

I am busy collecting the items our friends have requested from Norway.

These are life's essentials:
Toms, Converse, Ipad & Iphone covers, & Lysine.
Everything is three times more expensive in Norway if you can get it.

Next find: an unlocked Iphone

Can't wait to see our friends and beautiful Norway!

It's That Time Again!

Nine Days & Counting.....

We're leaving the lovely snow-capped mountains of Sandy, Utah for the beautiful landscape of Norway. I have the best of both worlds, I'd say. I am SO excited!

A Prophetic Word for Norway:

The Lord showed me the land of Norway from top to bottom and side to side. There was great rejoicing as I heard the church bells ringing from town to town to announce the coming of the Lord. People were crying out, "He is here! He is here!" There was dancing everywhere like a huge party and it went over the whole land. As I was enjoying what I was seeing, suddenly everything turned dark and I asked the Lord what was happening. I saw waves of water overtaking the land and I began to weep for Norway and feel the pains of spiritual birthing in prayer as I watched what was unfolding. The Lord spoke, "I am releasing a Spirit of Repentance upon Norway. There will be great sorrow and rivers of tears as people turn their hearts back to me. I will not tolerate sin in people's lives any longer but I am calling Norway to a place of HOLINESS. I am birthing HOLINESS in the land to prepare the place of my glory." I could see and feel the spiritual rumblings under the ground and hear the groans of the Spirit of God as He birthed HOLINESS in Norway. I was sad at the pain I felt, but not discouraged. The work of the Spirit was very serious, very sober, very intense as I labored with the Holy Spirit.  The pain finally lifted and it was like the sunshine broke out over Norway. I began to rejoice in what the Lord has planned for Norway and know that although "Weeping lasts for a night, joy comes in the morning." (Psalm 30:5) I feel like I am supposed to remind Norway to yield to the work of repentance and let the Lord complete His preparation for His coming in glory. (Psalm 85:10-13).  I am SO excited about the love the Father has for His people and the plans He has in His heart for Norway.

Bogotá, COLOMBIA

This is the beautiful city of Bogotá, Colombia. We are heading there today for a worship conference and will enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We have friends in Cali and Medellin, as well, and I hope some of them will pop up when we're there. We used to go a couple of times a year but it's been 4 years since our last trip. Bogotá is a very interesting city. It's stunningly beautiful from a distance but there is so much poverty and crime on the streets that the up-close view is quite different. The elevation is over 8,000 ft which is twice the elevation of Salt Lake City where we live.  All this to 'say' that Bogotá literally takes your breath away. Seriously. I'm looking forward to the conference as Colombians are happy worshiping warriors!

Although Psalm 48:1-3 and Isaiah 52:6-8 (Message) are written about Zion, it is not only a reference to the actual mountain but to the prophetic worshipers of God's Kingdom. I am declaring this over Bogotá while we're there:

God majestic, praise abounds in our God-city!
His sacred mountain, breathtaking in its heights—earth's joy.
Zion Mountain looms in the North, city of the world-King.
God in his citadel peaks impregnable.

"Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know
that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I." How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.

May God's abundant favor be your portion, Bogota!

Please pray for us while we're away. It will be a wonderful trip but there is considerable danger involved and we appreciate all the prayers that are offered on our behalf.

Blessings to you!

Prophetic Drumming

I'm teaching a class at WAC called Prophetic Use of Art and this is one of the examples I am offering to show the potential to connect with God through our creativity.  (Sorry I couldn't embed the video but it was prohibited, for some reason.)

What do you think about this? Do you like it? Hate it? Find it interesting? Indifferent to it?

I am always excited when I see God's people worshiping and praying outside of the box and long for the day when Christians embrace their creativity and begin to connect with Him and speak of Him in new ways.

Blessings to you!

Farther Along

I quite like Josh Garrels' version of an old favorite of mine, Father Along.

It is comforting to know that many of the battles we face are only a matter of perspective. The battle has already been won, we need only to bring the victory into our situation. Farther along, we'll understand the 'why' of our struggles but, for now, we just need to obey and love Jesus.

I'm willing to do that.

Lovely Sledding on New Years Day

What a glorious day! We went up through Big Cottonwood and Bryan found a great place to sled. Shya was a champ from the first run and laughed uproariously all the way down the hill. She would zoom down the mountain, catching air over the bumps and crash at the bottom, laughing her head off! She would grab the sled and tow it up the hill and do it all over again. Definitely has Viking blood in her veins! Our boys, Hunty and Samson tolerated it but didn't really dig it the way Shya did. We're going to make it a family tradition for New Years, it was so much fun!
